You know we love a punchy one-liner. But these little cards? They’re a different kind of punch. They’re quiet heroes - no caption, no message, just a small square of joy with a big smile and a lot of heart.
The Mini Icons range began as a bit of a hunch. I’d signed up to show at NY NOW, and I had this idea… What if I made something just for New Yorkers? Something playful, gift-friendly, and easy to love. Something food-related and teeny tiny. So I drew a pickle. And a pretzel. A lox bagel. A black-and-white cookie. All the classic New York snacks - reimagined as tiny cards with big personalities. We launched them at the show… and they flew.
The New York Cookie (which Tom told me was too niche!) and the Rainbow were our biggest sellers at NY NOW. And I couldn’t stop thinking about the potential of the format - these were cards that didn’t need to say much, because the illustrations did all the talking. Joyful, silly, snackable… and ideal for shop counters, delis, florists and impulse buys.
And then came the most recent five: Sardines, Tomato, Clover, Lemon, and Cheese. Each one a little weirdo. Each one holding its own.
One of our lovely stockists recently said they’re “perfect for the Jellycat lovers” - and honestly, we love that. They’ve got that same nostalgic energy. Familiar objects, made a little friendlier. Like something you’d have lined up on a bedroom shelf as a kid.I can already see where it could go next - retro cassette tapes, tennis balls for Wimbledon season, maybe even a whole sports range. The joy of Mini Icons is that they can go anywhere - they’re just funny, friendly, feelings-first cards designed to brighten someone’s day (and look excellent on a shelf while they’re at it).
So here they are: thirty-one teeny tiny cards that don’t say a word, but still manage to say something. We hope you love them as much as we’ve loved making them.
